  • Is tinting your car legal?

    Yes, tinting is legal within specific parameters. Vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, and trucks can have tinting with a Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) of 35% for the side windows. Additionally, any shade of tint can be applied to the back windows of SUVs and trucks, and all tint is non-reflective.

  • Is there a warranty for the tinting?

    All installations come with a lifetime warranty if the tint is applied to the glass. This warranty covers issues like bubbling, peeling, and discoloration, and is valid when installed by Tintmeisters or using Xpel products.

  • Can tint be installed over existing tint?

    Yes, but please note that tint applied over existing tint is not covered by our warranty, as it is not installed directly on the glass.

  • What is the average duration for tinting a standard sedan?

    On average, tinting a standard sedan takes approximately 6 hours to complete. Due to the time required, customers are advised to drop off their vehicles for the duration of the process.

  • Is it possible to tint the windshield?

    Tinting the windshield is generally not permissible unless supported by a court affidavit or prescribed by an eye doctor. However, we offer heat protection film that enhances ride comfort and prevents interior fading, cracking, and discoloration.

  • Does window tint provide protection against UV rays?

    Yes, our window tint is certified by the Skin Cancer Foundation to safeguard your skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

  • What tint shade options are available?

    We offer a range of tint shade options: 70%, 55%, 35%, 20%, 15%, and 5%

  • What is the cost of tinting an average sedan?

    Prices for tinting start at $305.

  • What is the cost of car paint protection?

    Partial automobile protection starts at $800, while full front-end protection begins at $2000, with costs varying based on the complexity of the vehicle.

  • When can I roll down my windows after tinting?

    Typically, windows can be rolled down within 5-10 days, dependent on weather conditions.

  • Can I wash my car immediately after tinting?

    Yes, your car can be washed right away. However, it is recommended to avoid cleaning or touching the windows for 10 days to allow proper curing and prevent the tint from shifting.

  • Do you use hand cutting or a plotter for window tinting?

    We utilize a plotter to cut patterns for most standard vehicles (2000 year models and up) to prevent any potential damage to the glass or trim. For custom cutting or older classic vehicles, we employ intricate hand cutting techniques.
